Hellish Cashstrap is the moniker of Scott Kellerhouse, composer & producer of music with a uniquely unsettling timbre. His music ranges from rhythmically driven, textured downtempo to abstract soundscapes & drones, but through a singular prism: All are unified by an aural quality of decay, as if irradiated by nuclear fallout, via digital and analogue degradation. The music evokes contradictory states: submerged but aloft, blissfully transcendent then terrifyingly alienating. Live performances feature various electronics, guitar, processed vocals and radio signals.
